Saw A Couple Of Things Today...

Post by BobbyFord »

Saw a couple of things on my route today that caught my attention.

This one needs no explanation, and no, it wasn't parked at Walmart (WTF?):

The owner of this bicycle had an interesting set up for night travel:

I assume that under normal conditions, he uses only the center light. The two outer lights are used for the "high beam" mode and may also double as blinkers by waving your hand in front of the correct outer light.

Good evening Bobby, these are classic observations you've made!

That's a nice red car. Aside from the Beware of Dog sign, my second favorite thing's probably the license plate--does it say, "<Heart> Lentils?"

Having grown up in Santa Cruz I've seen lots of cars like this; at least they're not boring!

WOW! Either that guy / gal REALLY doesn't like his / her car, or they are REALLY paranoid about not being seen by other drivers! Are those reflectors all over that car?

Now, the bike lights I can kind of get.....necessity being the mother of invention, when you can't afford the new bike bling stuff. Better than riding off a cliff or into a wall. And, at least you would be seen by motorists. :) Red Green would be proud!

You live in a very interesting place, Bobby!

Yeah, there's about a zillion reflectors on that car. I couldn't see a particular theme, though other than RED. I wonder if he's ever been cited for being a distraction?

Good day,

Given that they're reflectors, what we really need is a night-time photo with the car lit up in the headlight of an old steam locomotive!

If I were the driver, I'd be concerned that a UFO would vacuum me in to space after mistaking me for a five-ton ruby, needed for the repair of their ship's main ray-gun.
