another bump

Post by dolinick »

Thinking about getting a 1970 F250 Crew Cab. I am going to look at her on Sunday. I wanted the cab for a project but now I'm thinking about getting her and trying to fix her up. I already know she's got some cancer(rust). I believe she has (front)disc brakes, power steering an automatic transmission and a 360 V8 engine. Anyway, I think it would be kinda cool to take my wife and kids cruising in the truck! Yessir, I think I have gotten the bump crew cab bug...

That's excellent Dan! If I were to add another Bumpside to my collection, it would definitely be a crew cab.

Congratulations on the crew. I am still debating on what I am going to do with mine.

Well I did it! I put a down payment on FormerMarine1981 to hold the truck for me. We cruised around a bit and it runs good with just a little exhaust leak. 8)

I have a '68 steel grille I will most likely put on it. I will probably order a new windshield rubber and look for a windshield. Also, try to address the drip rail rust and maybe floor pans.

I think it would look better if it rode a little taller. Maybe the springs can be re-arched/replaced or otherwise have the truck lifted somehow. :D

Good for you!! If that truck had been local to me, I probably would have owned it about a month ago! Glad to see a Fordification member be able to sell his truck if he so chooses, and glad to see another Fordification member be the one to score it!! If I am not mistaken, doesnt that make you the 3rd Fordification member to own that Crew? Didnt he buy it from another member here a while back?

Anyway, I will be looking at a crew local to me sometime next week. Depending on what I see and how firm he is on his price, I may end up owning one as well. We shall see. But that would mean me selling my F250 to my brother in law. It would keep it in the family, but I LOVE my F250... So I dunno... lol
