Honestly, I don't much care for the winch bumper on my truck. It's not terrible, but I like the factory bumper better. I use it all the time, so I would never even think about getting rid of it.
I think it looks nice, and it sure is a sturdy thing to have sticking out the front, to protect the grille. I've read that folks tend to keep their distance from vehicles with weird stuff sticking out of the front and back more than from smooth, harmless looking vehicles too.
I actually have one just like it, only mine has a black painted finish, and I'm planning to put that on #50 some day. Right now it's helping to hold the side of the house still, and helping to hold the Earth in place as well.
Looks darn good. I like them and had em on 3 of my old Fords over the years.
May your sails stay full, and your knots not slip. Unless a slip knot.
Once I thought I was wrong, but I was wrong.

I think it is growing on me, I am thinking maybe a set of fog lights on it somewhere? To me it looked out of place at first, but now it is starting to look better!

Had a black one on my 71 for years and liked it fine but got tired of it after about 20 years and pulled it off. I then put on the factory bumper guards and like the looks of them and the functionality of them. I can push a car or truck into the shop and not cause any damage if careful
