I want to move out, but having trouble finding a place looking online. What other web sites are good to look at besides craigslist to find houses for rent?
I just want a house with a garage or barn to keep my lawn equipment locked up and at least a acre of land.
Had found a nice place on 70 acres of land for $700 a month but its way up in the mountains of north GA.

Are there any free classifieds in your area? Those have a pretty good amount of places for rent.

news papers.
landlord associations.
apartment finder.com
craigslist.org
the local chamber of commerce will also have landlord lists.
some realitors may also know of a place.

Re: I want to move out
Good evening Tim,
The only place I've ever looked to find places to live has been Craigslist, and it has worked out OK for me.
One thing I've noticed though, is that you can often find a wide variety of places quality-wise for the same or similar money. It seems like you're already looking around, but if you can stand to spend the time doing this, I like the idea of looking at at least 5-10 places before choosing one. Or maybe at least 3!
When Kasie and I were looking for this latest place, we looked at about five other places too. They were all basically the same amount of money, but most of them were pretty "doggy" and dank. But the place we finally moved in to is the nicest house I've ever lived in, with a really nice garage and everything.

Local newspaper classifieds, especially the small town ones. Get out of the city and it's usually better places for less money. Drive around and hit the stores for local county papers, get the name of the paper, and see if they have a website. Here's something from Jasper's Pickens County Progress...
