You could always send away for your Marti Report and that will give you the most complete information on your truck that there is. For some reason the trucks take about 4-6 weeks to research completely, but you will get the report. Here is the link to order your packet:

http://www.martiauto.com/reports2.cfm

For those that dont know, Marti bought all of the old Ford documents when Ford was going to destroy them. Marti makes the information available but orders are researched on an individual basis so it takes some time. The huge amount of data they have is all on paper and microfilm so its not as easy as punching it into a computer and seeing what pops up. They actually take your VIN and then start digging through documents to compile a profile of your vehicle.

Anyway, its just a cool window to see all the original data from your vehicle. They can even tell you what day your truck was sold and at what dealership. You can also order a reproduction of the window sticker from your truck with all the price breakdowns and total cost as well.

Calfdemon, thanks for posting an informative description of what marti has to offer us. Surely, that info will be very useful to someone researching their truck! Alas, for me, it is not just what my Bump MSRP'd at, I am researching the MSRP's of 60's through '79 model ford trucks. Back in the day, Google would bring up all that kind of info. Not now. Now Google is all about advertising, which naarrowly affects the search results. So, I am stumped...

No problem.. I figured the window sticker might have the MSRP on it. If not, you might be able to call or email Marti and they might have that info for you, or might know where to find it.

Sorry, I figured you were asking for the purpose of researching your own truck. Didn't intend to hijack the thread with info you werent asking for. :)

Go to the NADA

http://www.nadaguides.com/

Then click on 'Classic Cars' in the top bar, then add your zip code :D

Click on the type of vehicle, then the year ( in the lower right of the year box )
it might say something like "1979 & Older" click on that and keep going until
you find what your looking for 8)

This is how mine showed up !

Pricing

MSRP $2,908
Retail $8,100
Retail $10,850
Retail $16,900

Remember, On the front of a NADA Guide it clearly states "GUIDE"

You might also check out your local DMV as they keep old guide books to determine values

Just an FYI,

I did order a Complete Marti report and nothing about MSRP was included, But the information I
received was well worth the money to me :hd:

Might not help since it is not verifiable but my dad says he paid $2750 for my 71 F100, 302, 3 speed manual, manual everything and no ac. It is a long bed Sportcustom if that helps any at all. He then paid another $100 for the rear painted step bumper since the trucks did not come with a bumper here in NC

Can't research my truck that way. No listing for platform/stake F350. Mine must be priceless!

I've been scanning and posting the original factory price lists to the Factory Literature Library as I find them. Unfortunately, I don't have them for all the bumpside years. I do have the lists for 1967, 1969, and 1972. These price lists do show the MSRP, as well as the prices for the individual truck options.
