i have had a few good ones. but most have been like. forget it. i was just jacking around anyway.

he showed up and wasted his two hour drive and my time. the rims wouldnt even fit his car. all he had to do was ask me to measure the lug pattern for him. and he could have measured his lug pattern and the problem would have been solved right then and there.

yeah CL can be a pain some times but i made some good money from it. What I hate is they call u ask if you still have it (and if I do its still posted and if I sell it i take it off)and than ask whats the lowest I'll take!!!!! U HAVE NOT EVEN LOOKED AT IT AND YOU WANT IT FOR LESS! F.O. DUDE.... That gets me mad as all hell!!! go look at the part first!!!!! hear the motor run first .see if theres rust or what ever!!!1 this is not rip u off ebay of the sellers!!

I bought a wrecked 98 trans am ($2.300)with a good ls1 motor and auto(129.xxx mi ) in it and a lot of good parts still on it as only the front was hurt! well I sat on the car for a year selling what ever some one wanted on CL.but sill no one whated the motor set up as I was to far for them to pick up.well I got sick of the car being there so I offered the whole car for sale($2.500. .I know )well I get a call he asked whats the lowest u take( I'm %^$%#$^ to my self)2000 he gos ok where u live ba ba ba.So ok he at my home he likes the motor THEN THE LITTLE S.O.B goes and said I'll give u 1500!!!!
I told him the lowest was 2000! give me that or go home.
well I don't have all my money as the bank is closed and I can't cash my check intell monday (this is friday)
me ...well cash your check then come see me
well monday comes and get a call from him with some sob story and still asked to get it for 1500!!
I hung up!! then get a new call from this guy (oooolder guy) and asked if the motor was still in car as posted so he can hear it run
I go yes it is
then he goes well I don't need the whole car( I'm thinking hear goes another A.H.)how much for this the motor and wiring and computer
I go with the story ba ba ba . sorry but its the motor trans/wiring/com for sale that all I can do it will be harder to sell the trans alone for good money
he go how this then I'll give you what your asking for the whole car ..$2500 for only the motor/wiring/com and I'll help you pull it

well came and hear it run and love it and said I come sat to do (this is tuesday) but not depoist (said I for got to get some cash) (I got a an ok vib from this one as he did not look like a gang banger like the last one and he did not look like an old drug addict ( I said ok and he went home!!os that nite I get two more calls frist one from a father and son (both on the phone) and they whated motor/trans set up for there 68 firebird I said sale is pending if this guy skips your the frist I call they thx me and thats that(now I'm thinking sh*T did I f up ).The second call 20 mm after and he was from a custom shop. He need it NOW he did NOT care about the other guy!! Well I told him hes giveing me 2500 can you bet that if you need it now!
No but I got cash!( thinking .thinking .thinking I did get a good vib from the first one) I said if the other two skip Its your. He goes ok call and LET me know.
now I thinking I hope I did not screw up so sat came and.....HE SHOWED UP with cash in hand)we drop it out loaded it in to his truck(f250 80's dent)and went home
so as we where droping out I asked him what he putting in to?
A motorcycle!!! ( ) I'm building a v8 bike like my friend did and the Aluminium ls1 will better then his iron 350 and laugh.
I got a call from the other two guys later that nite(lol) and I said its gone to the father and son and they where bummed but said good for me and I wished them luck but the shop guy one he was mad upset On the other end a just hung up ...
still never heard from the 1500 A.H. angain

Ive had good luck with CL.
Bought a 51 Willys wagon then ran an ad and traded for my 69 bump and currently still have it
then bought a 61 Falcon conv, did a little bolting back together and sold it
not into Mopars, but my son and I went and got 2 truck loads of 70 Challenger parts for $200 and have done good selling them
picked up a 55 Ford Customline that when first advertised was $1200, when it got to $500 I had to buy and looking forward to cruising it
then theres the 73 Mustang conv now sitting in the barn with a 351C, I stole it but I paid cash and got a title
and most recently a 89 Mustang GT that the guy about begged me to come haul off for a little over scrap price

I sometimes wonder if they are just lonely. One of my favorites is when I take the time to type out a very detailed description of the item for sale and then a guy wants me to call him. So I do, then he just sits there in dead silence without any questions or offers. Just "uuuuuhhhh". What did he want? to see if his phone worked?
