Anybody get a chance to see the rain delayed Cup race today? Pretty good race, nice to see Marcos Ambrose finally get a well-deserved win in the RPM Ford Fusion.

He hit flush on the right side of the car in practice and the damage wasn't enough to cause them to pull out the backup car.

Hmmmm. Wonder if that had any effect. I know they questioned if that would cause an issue. Id have to watch the vid again but was that the same turn?

I believe that is turn 5, the same turn where JD McDuffie was killed in 1991.

It looks like safer walls need to be installed,that road course is high speed. Those drivers really took a hard hit. It is a testament to the safety that is built into the race cars. If it would have happened before the new generation of race cars the drivers would not have walked away without serious injury.
