John, The way you have delt with things is truely amazing to me. I am a very positive person; I have gone thru some heavy caca with my lady this year! It has been way tough but i dont give up! I never will. You Sir Keep me going. I guess I look up to you and Larry since ya'll are the age my dad would me if I still had him. i only have to read some of your posts or some of Larry's wisdom and I make it thru the day. Thank you John for showing me how to handle the caca that life throws at me. Thank You Larry for your wisdom and words that help me make it thru the day. I hope to be as wise and savvy like that some day.

John this will be a good time to try some new things to see if you like them. I am on my own sometimes and have to fend for myself and I will try to use some things that others in the house won't eat or don't like. Often I'll just grab some stuff out of the cabinet and just make it up as I go along.
Pan fry or grill a boneless skinless chicken breast.
Add some onions and peppers.
Then throw in some olives and mushrooms.
Serve over rice or pasta with sauce.

I am bad about doing dishes. So I just use the stuff you can toss. Paper plates and plastic forks, now all I got to do is remember to take out the trash before it overflows.
:yt: for going on two years now. I'll trade pantry's with ya man!
It does make "eating out" very special though.
TTYL gotta' go make my popcorn for dinner and take the trash out!

I made 2 dozen tacos tonight, ate 1 and froze the others. Of course had a couple bottles of Pacifico Clara with it. Now.... Hot Tub time.

Tamales are great, a lady does come around once a month or so selling them door 2 door. We used to buy yhem. Guess I should start back up on that.
I already have had different widows offer to take me to the senior dance, invite me for dinner or go to the casino. I am polite to them, but I am not ready for that. Way 2 soon for me. What are they thinking? Never mind that was a retorical question. May have a female friend one day, but I will never even try to replace my sweet Vicki.

I have started cooking for one. As has been pointed out to me on here, it isn't so bad. I cook, eat, and freeze the leftovers for another day.
