This is usually done as a private thing, but...

Post by Andy Man »

Seems like the dust has momentarily settled in the "headlight harness upgrade thread update". For most of that discussion, rightly or wrongly, my irritation grew. I made a decision to change the conversation, radically. Although doing so may or not have served it's purpose, I have come to regret the way I went about it. I never did consider that my words would be hurtful, disrespectful and undeserving to some members here.

My hope is that you can bring yourselves to accept my sincere apology for hurling words that were hurtful, disrespectful and undeservedly unfair or personally offensive to you.

In the future, if I find myself involved in a controversial matter, I will lose the slingshot, break the arrows and shoot spitballs instead.

Great thing you've done Sir!!!! In the heat of battle, we can all say things that we later regret. Lord knows I've done my share of this.

You are a good man for saying these words today! I am humbled and impressed!

Big of you to step up.
We all do stuff that we later regret. If I had a dime for everytime I stuck my foot in my mouth I'd be retired by now.
I always find that I can't live with myself if I don't right the wrong. It ain't always easy but it's the right thing to do.

As someone who felt that I might have been dodging arrows in that other thread (you only nicked me, it didn't sting much :) ), I appreciate your words here and all is forgotten. I moved on once the previous conversation took a turn for the better.

Takes a very good person to say what you've said. Me, retired CPO, arrows bounce off my thick skin. You have a great life, and enjoy this outstanding site.

Apology accepted! While I was personally unaffected by your comments, I did feel bad for the site and the sudden direction of the thread to the negative. The overall positive and noncombative nature of Fordification is what keeps me here and makes the site stellar. It takes a very big person to ask for forgiveness and you qualify with this post. Thank you for stepping up.
