Got It Fixed 2000 F250 Brake Caliper Bracket "OFF TOPIC"
I have one of the slide rods stuck in my brake bracket. I was able to get the other one out with a little heat and a hammer. I can't get this one to budge. Anyone have some good idles?

I have had lots of these stick on me. Heat, PB blaster and a hammer always works. May have to get some vice grips on it and try turning it while applying heat and pb. You can tap the outside of the braket with the hammer and that will help the pb soak in. It may take some doing but it should come loose.
Honestly, I really would rather push a Ford than drive a Chevy.

Well I got it, I have been PB blasting and torching for about 4 hours, I have had them stuck before too, but this one was crazy. I think I am going to frame it and put it on display!

Re: Got It Fixed 2000 F250 Brake Caliper Bracket "OFF TOPIC"
I just paid $800 for new brakes all around on my '00 F250. I couldn't get the rear rotors off myself. I was gonna do the fronts, but the shop assured me they would do a better job than I would, and they didn't charge any more for the parts than I would have paid anyway. The truck stops now, and I didn't lose a day of my life fighting with it either. A man has to know his limitations.
