Garage roof made some noise, felt more like a sonic boom or dynamite from a quarry. No drama vs. the stuff I lived with in San Diego back in '91.

We left coasters are used to these...I still don't like them. Rare for right coasters for sure, but not unheard of either.
I even heard that there was an earthquake in S.E. Colorado today. Hope everybody in all affected areas are OK.

Re: East Coast Eartquake
I was driveing and never felt it. I drove up to the job for the state and i see a cement driver outside the truck without a hard hat on. I pull up and ask him where his hard hat is, He said it "fell in the mixing drum". I just gave him the yea right look. He said "The truck was rocking so hard my hard hat come off my head when i was washing out". So i drove to the job and learned that there was a eartquake, And the driver was washing out when it happined and was holding on for life because the truck was rocking back and forth. Weve given him the nickname "shaky" now, we'll see how he likes it in the morning.

Re: East Coast Eartquake
I am outside of Charlotte NC. I was sitting on my work stool in my shop and it felt like the 80 pound Australian Sheppard was leaning against my stool and panting. I looked down and he wasn't there. I looked around and thought maybe the fan was rocking my stool. Didn't think anymore about it until I went down to my parent's house and saw on the TV that there was an earthquake in VA. I said "ehy I felt that"
Funny thing was my mom felt it in her chair and thought HER dog was leaning against her chair. Dad was taking a nap recovering from minor surgery and thought their dog jumped up on the bed.

Re: VA earthquake
Glad you had no damage up there. I felt it but didn't realize what I felt until I saw on the TV that it was a Quake. At 1st I thought the dog was shaking my stool. When he wasn't there I really didn't think anymore about it until I saw there was a quake in VA. It just kind of shook my work stool a little.

Re: East Coast Eartquake
I was in class at a local community college sitting back in my chair when I felt like I was falling. It was a very small feeling and no one in class said or did anything. When I got home that evening I heard we had an earthquake. This was over ten years ago in San Antonio, Tx. People only on upper floors noticed it for the most part I think. That's the only earthquake experience I have ever had that I know of.goldies67 wrote:kinda felt like i was a little tipsy at 10 min of 2,thought i was having a blood sugar thing, then heard it was an earthquake....no biggie!

Re: VA earthquake
I Survived The '89 San Francisco Loma Preita, San Andreas shake around, and the next 3 or 4 days(i actualy think it felt or was actualy longer than that) Of After Shakes and water boiling/rationing and camping in the back yard cuase we was on the end of the list of property inspections. Besides the scare factor it was kinda cool no school for a week cuase we didn't have power, the camping and cookout. Then when we got back to school, we started doing the disaster survival cans with non parishable food and a years supply of water in them.
thats what i have thought is so wierd out her in mossouri, none of the schools have asked us to send non parishing items or water in for this. you'd think you still need it in Tornado Alley.
