Help me convince this man to sell me this bump...

Post by harrysnyder »

I was in West Virginia this past weekend visiting my girlfriends family, and saw alot of really cool cars and trucks up there in the country. Well, on Sunday (our last day) we went to visit her uncle who lives down in the "holler". Man what a time. As soon as I get out of the car I see a 72 F250 4x4...and I was hooked on it. Its rusty but its all there, and I've got the parts to put an entire new body on it if I wanted. It's a 390 4 speed truck, and it ran pretty good. Had some carb issues with the throttle hanging up, and the brakes are scary, but I drove it up the hill and back down and I want it. I would drive the crap outta this truck. It'd be perfect for me because once my 71 is finished I could work out of this truck and play in my 71.

Only thing is... He won't sell it to me. He just bought it not long ago for $300.00, and he's a bit of a hoarder. He also had a big bumpside wrecker, a 66-77 Bronco, an early model Willys truck...and more. Here are the pics, and guys help me come up with some scheme to talk this man out of this truck! Before he rolls it off a cliff like that early Bronco!

Help convince him to sell it to you??

If I'm going to go to that much trouble, it'll be to convince him to sell it to ME!!!

Seen far nicer ones than that sent off to china to come back as a harbor freight tool..... Better off to look for a better rig.

I know people like that. Not sure how they do it, but they do. They get something for near nothing, park it out back to rot and wait until someone just has to have it or a part from it.

I see you're in Spartanburg too! I have a '68 F250 highboy for sale... 360 4 speed... let me know if you'd be interested in it.

I saw one very similar to that in southern WV visiting family a month or so back. Might have been the same truck but it was a good ways off the beaten path.

Hmmm....... I'll be in Beckley Thursday....... :D

Here's one of those log splitters. Don't know if it's that one but you get the idea.

I dont think thats a log splitter. I've seen a similar device used here at work when they give out our annual bonuses.

I know where you work.

I thought the conical part was bigger...
