Watching the NHRA Funny Car drags. Nothing funny about those rides. I have made some runs in the 1/4 in the 11s, used to think that was fast. Course in the 60's seems like the only thing running as fast as the Funny Cars do now was the Rails. Of course with 8,000 hp todays runs should be in the 4s. Now days takes me 4 seconds to relize the light has changed.
May your sails stay full, and your knots not slip. Unless a slip knot.

Fast enough just to watch them, I sure don't want to drive them!

11 is still fast for a street car in my book. That's a lot of fun. In my own personal experience, when I get under 10 seconds, it's stops being as fun. I currently own a mid 8 vehicle and if I'm being perfectly honest, it's stopped being fun they day I pulled it down into the 9's. I suppose I'm showing my age a bit. But, it went from me just smiling with the thought of making another 10 second pass to now having a blank expression with my heart beating like a humming bird.
That top fuel stuff is just a blurry rocket ship ride that you hope turns out for the best.
