This is my other hangout on the web. They have a post about a 9 second 67 powered by a 7.3. Kind of cool.

Yeah but from what I have read it wasn't stable at all.

two of my personal faves combined (bumps & cornbinder IDI's) wicked cool! i think my ol 6.9 powered f250 could probably pull off a low 20's lol!
- still got my first first car 20+yrs later : 69 f100 sorta kinda pretending its a Mercury M100 w/a 70 f350 sport custom cab (factory buckets) 67 grille with 69 ranger cooneyes 68 merc box and hood, some supercool fiberglass fenders i scored way back when, 76 f150 disc brake frontend..currently running a 90 5.0HO 4bbl/c4 auto & 3.50 posi...originally a 360/c6 f100 Ranger with dealer added towpack (incl. kelsey hays trailer brake),boxside toolbox, behind the seat stowage & belly tank...only original parts left on 'er are the frame, rear end, rear springs, and rear bumper...

9 minutes sounds about right, but it would take at least 20 for the smoke to clear :)

On Oilburners we talked about that truck for a long time before we got photos of it, the truck was almost like a myth. Its cool but nearly every part was custom and they still have a few of the injection pumps for around $5000 if any body wants to build one!
