I am thinking of purchasing a 1968 F100 and I have been doing my research, but it is hard to find a comparable and I swear I have looked everywhere. Most of what I find has been rebuilt and spiffed up. I have found a truck and was wondering what I fair price range may be.
1968 F100
360 V8
4 speed manual
8 ft bed
125K
Truck is in decent shape. 90% original. A few oil leaks on engine. Lower front fenders near cab are rusted. It's a daily driver. I would appreciate any help and hopefully in the future I can contribute to the site.
Possible newbie looking for some advice.

Good day Jason!
I believe that trucks as you've described can sell for between $500 and $1,500. Do you happen to know any photos of the truck? Photos are the best way to get a good value assessment from the Bumpside gurus here.

Location is a big factor in priceing a truck, Some parts of the rustbelt these trucks are worth a lot more money. Also how dose the cabmounts, floorpans and cab corners look as far as rust ?

Everything seems very solid. I will be getting up and in there before I make an offer.

Re: Possible newbie looking for some advice.
Cab rust is deadly. Roof rail or the side of the cowl rust is difficult to repair. Usually the front cab mounts are gone, then the rear cab corners and floor. The bed side seam rust is hard to repair as well. Truck looks decent, update your profile with your location. Locally it's a $1500-2000 truck...

Re: Possible newbie looking for some advice.
Thanks for the help ya'll. This place is awesome. I was taking a look at some projects. I took it for another test drive and really got up under it last night. Front and rear cab mounts are solid and the rubber mounts still looks good. Hood mounts/hinges are solid as well as front fenders. No rust really except for what you see in the picture and a few other small spots. The only thing I could find that would cause concern was part of the floor/drivers side was rusted and could see through. Not a big hole, but something to be aware of. Passenger side was fine. All in all it seems like a solid truck.
Other issues. Looks like an oil leak and maybe a tranny leak. Oil for sure. I would say oil pan and then something up top. Doesn't seem to burn any, and none in antifreeze. Tranny may have a leak as there is crap and crud spun up just before the linkage from the tranny case. Could just be built up oil from the oil leak. Needs a good cleaning. Has a Rebuilt carb, new plugs, wires, washer resivor/pump, radiator overflow, tires and mufflers.
I would say, a good solid truck. Also included is a topper, custom color to match I guess. Have not seen it and some custom wood shelving for bed when toper is on. No idea what that is.
Also, I am in Minnesota.
You all still thinking $1500 to $2000?
