Sort of like the Red Lobster commercial.

"I Sea Foam Differently"...

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???

So how does sea foam work out for cleaning out the crankcase? Is there something else you can use in the crankcase to clean it up?

A million years ago, back when non detergent oils were common. A lot of folks would drain a couple quarts of oil out, add kerosene to it, let it idle for a while and drain it. I would not do this. Really, if you just change your oil relatively soon a few times, it will clean it.

Oh yeah, the Quaker Sate moments when you pull the intake off and the whole valley is so full of crud that it looks like the bottom of the intake. I used to hate those days...

Man, I once pulled off a valve cover and the crud inside has actually taken the shape of the cover, with just some grooves wore in it from the rocker arms moving up and down.
