Sad But True....

Post by rjewkes »

Guys, after 5 1/2 years of Faithful Service, The old 72 F100 Sport Custom is dead. Yup it is perminant retirement for the old girl. Saddly she got the Cancer despite best efforts and aided by lack of money or knoweledge of how to fix it low budget like The Cancer we Call Southern Bible belt rust got her. with no way to fix her shy of spending double what buying a less rusted old sheilla would cost.

So i will be saving away until i can find a less Rusted gal and have enough for repairs.

R.I.P. Ol' Grey Mare(Becuase she just ain't what she used to be mind you!)   :pout:

But alas many a reusable part will live on in the next truck, unfortunately not the 2 years old exhuast that was the knock off Flow master 40 series with 32" chrome tips angled out under the bed infront of the wheels. and not anything bigger than the rear half of the driveline.

now on to saving up for the next great truck.

R.I.P. old girl. You will be sorely missed. At least she was an organ donor and will help another in the future with her sacrifice. My condolences.

My condolences as well.

My Aunt used to have an old '64 Nova stationwagon her and my uncle bought new. had it clear into the late '90 before, sadly, it got the cancer too. Couldn't afford to keep her on life support either so off to the JY she went. Before they did that, my Uncle took off the emblems and a door handle, grabbed a few old pics the car showed up in and headed off to the trophy-mart to have my Aunt a custom plaque made. That car hauled everyone of my cousins to just about every day of school and every ball practice. To this day my Aunt has that plaque hanging on the wall in the front room! .....and the keys to it still hang on the key rack. Funny how attached to a piece of steel we can get.

long story short, THAT'S HOW YOU GET A WOMAN TO HANG CAR STUFF IN THE FRONT ROOM!!

Sorry to hear this. There comes a time when reality overcomes emotion. Pay the additional money for a better one next time and you will spend less money keeping it going.

Sold it. For the money to finish getting the engine in this. Didn'r realize how much easier it woulda been to finish the crew as a two wheel drive until I could get the transfer case figured out :thud:
