I went to a local mechanics shop yesterday and was looking around their back yard when I came across a 67 flair side. The truck is sitting there with a lien on the truck and the lien holder went out of business. There has to be a way to track down the new lien holder and see about getting the truck if not for me but for some one to save it. Going to get pics of it today

Looking forward to pics. Thanks.

Re: Trying to save a bump
Well no pictures of the 67. The shop owner wont let me go and take any pics of the truck.
He said something about it "having someones name all over it". He would prefer there be no pictures taken of the truck
I tried to tell him that they where for keeping track of old bumps still around and what ones are being scrapped out. He still didn't buy it. I smell something shady here. Guess there is nothing I can do about it. Sadly enough

Tell him you are trying to get it sold to a person that loves older Ford Pick ups. He'd get it out of his yard and make a few dollars on it at the same time. Does smell fishy though

Re: Trying to save a bump
Logan it might be fishy then again it just might be legit. The law prolly requires multiple attempts to contact the registered owner before they can issue another title in the shop owners name. He would have to prove there is indeed money owed against the truck and also prove his attempts to contact the owner before the DMV can take any action. He may be concerned the pics could somehow jepordize his case. There may well be " someone's name all over it". Someone such as an employee or friend who wants it and has first crack at buying it if the shop owner can produce a clear title.
