Anyone else do anything stupid today?

When working on the vehicle, keep your finger away from the fan. After 62 years you would think I would learn.

I guess since you're still posting it turned out to be minor. Or you're pretty darn good with your toes.
Seriously, I hope it wasn't very bad. I haven't had a moment yet today. But there's still another hour before my bedtime.

Well, it's not truck-related....but I did have a slight  today. I was busy working on this site, and completely forgot to go pick up my youngest from daycare and drop him off at pre-school at the designated time. (My wife did the same thing last week, and I've been poking fun at her for it ever since...and today I do the same danged thing. Needless to say, I probably won't live this one down for a little while.) ;)

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

Wednesday at work five of us rode out to a well site near Tilden, Tx to drive three trucks to Laredo. I was designated to drive an early eighties cabover peterbilt crane truck. I didn't check the radiator coolant because I didn't remember how. It ended up overheating a few miles down the road being 3-4 gallons low or bone dry. All three trucks and the chase car had to pull over on the side of the road because of me. Luckily another truck broke down with a fuel pump/filter problem and the mechanic brought coolant for my truck. There is a metal flap over the radiator grille where the radiator cap is located. You check the coolant just like on a '67 F100. Open the cap and look inside or stick your finger in there and see if it comes out wet with coolant. But you can't actually look down inside because of the way the cabover has that little door in front of the radiator.

Broke off a spark plug (a new one) while I was changing them on my Tbird. Second to last plug. Had a U-joint on the ratchet with a short extension, thought to myself, "Gee, this is putting a lot of side-load on the spark plug from this angle." Thought that about 1/4 second before I hear "SNAP". Grr.

Not today, but yesterday I pulled the Holley off my 69 F250 and stuck and old Autolite on it, so I could check the jets on the Holley...have some ordered. It ran so bad, I put the Holley back on today rather than keeping it on the bench in the shop.
