Good luck and have fun.

I'm a pro super for the f16's. You should cross over to fighters, we need more pointy heads.

Naww, I like my big girls. Plus our avionics AFSC's are split up into shreds and I only do instruments and flight controls.

Hey Adrianspeeder,
Thank you so very much for your service to our country. May God bless you and your whole unit, and keep you all safe. We owe you a lot. Awesome pictures, my stepson is dreaming on being a pilot in the Air Force. His grandfather, uncle and brother-in-law are all pilots.

I head up a mission at our local church to send soldiers cards, letters and care boxes. If you could PM or e-mail me your address and maybe some of your buddies I'll get you all on our list. Especially if you have anyone there who doesn't get much mail. It's the least we can do for all of you who protect our freedoms!

God Bless,

Danged passenger cabin looks like a movie theater..
I like the airplanes, but can only afford the artificial versions.
I have been running a new 737 NG sim the past few weeks. It's pretty killer,
and is pretty danged realistic. It was licensed by Boeing to PMDG, and uses all
their data, blueprints, etc to build. You use the actual Boeing manuals to fly
the thing. I've had it since early Aug, and have been flying the thing all
over the place. I have several liveries, but run Southwest routes most of the time.
Almost every switch and function works as real, including the FMC and CDU.
These are some HD videos a training video outfit put out. Kinda long..

Quick walkaround tour of an extended reach deice rig. Helpin' out gettin' 'er ready for the out of control winter here.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srC2Foiuy9U

In other news, spent some time with the fire department leading a little familiarization on C17 doors and danger areas. They have a cool big boy toy.

Image

In true Air Force fashion, one workin', many more supervising.

Image

Brand new jet straight from the factory stopped buy. Had that new car smell still.

Image

And also brand new out of a major overhaul, sparing 'er from the boneyard, a fresh superfred with shiny new CF6 motors stopped buy for a visit as well.

Image

But in true C5 fashion, nothing perfect and she had a bad #3 MLG alpha tire all dinked up. Anytime I think my C17 gears are a little bit crazy, the C5 never fails to impress.

Image

But we got it changed out easy 'nough, and the big girl was on her way.

Image

Mountain view, and you can see my dickered lens. Not sure how I scratched it and pissed about that.

Image

Oh well, till next time,

This week was a busy one. Goofed around with a Russian moat digger.

Image

Got in a shipment of raingear. Not sure if it is the most tactical type. Wonderin' who the hell would order this.

Image

Worked on cleaning a windshield and took some perspective shots.

Image

Image

West coast mountains of two different continents meeting up.

Image

Nightline refuel.

Image

And got to sit in a very cool presentation with this man, retired Army Col. Danny McKnight.

Image

If you've seen the movie or read the book Black Hawk Down, you know him as the commander in the lead Hummer of the ground convoy tasked to collect the prisoners and then evacuate the wounded when the mission went awry.

Very interesting story and time I won't forget.

One more week down, and biz as usual fixin' broken big girls as needed.

Took me and my good buddy from my first deployment who was passin' through about 4 hours in this position to get a very seldom failed part in and out without really being able to see it. Oh well, not everything can be easy.

Image

Was gettin ready to take some pictures of one of my Dover girls, but saw another bird on short final. First weight on wheels sensor that trips is noticed by a certain computer to automatically pop all 8 spoilers.

Image

Then if the pilots lined everything up pretty they should be near idle at touchdown ready to let 'em rip wide open with the thrust reverser's screamin' for a short stop.

Image

Quick video of my tow rig, and an easy pull job.

Image

And some people are just special. Wing walker fail.

I like the C5's, nothing quite so gracefull as seeing one glide across the sky engines wide open going nowhere fast. They're based in Martinsburg WV, cool to see.

Where you at McCord AFB? Next time you stop in holler at us Washington guys and we can take you out for a night on the town. Now the town really is piss poor for entertainment but beggars can't be choosers.

I have yet to ever stop at McChord. Been to most of the other C-17 hubs, so it is bound to happen someday. Will do when I do.
