Sweet trucks* thanks for shareing. Love that mellow yellow!--The merc. valve covers are super tall. they came factory on the merc. 410 engine. I had the engine at my shop since about 69. So I decided to rebuild it. since I am ODD* :?

Are most of us odd, or are we visionaries? Not certain, but most of us here are unique for sure!

2x's on the Merc valve covers being cool!

I always wondered where my Maverick and my Torino went... now I know, Hahaha

Grandad owned a Ford dealership in eastern KY until he passed away in the early '70s... then his brother took over and went under in the early '80s... We never had anything new from there, with the exception of one truck (dad was too proud to take the discounts or drive a dealer plate), but we always had Ford in the driveway...

Growing up, we had a '71 Torino, '73 Torino, and a '69 F100 (which I later learned to drive on, and used it on the farm until it fell apart in the '80s). I took my driver's test in a '74 Gran Torino - mom's car (351W, automatic), and my first car I paid for myself was a used, '77 Maverick (straight 6, but I dropped in a 289). I bought a '75 Gran Torino Elite from an elderly lady (460 w/dual 4bbl), painted it, replaced the worn vinyl top, and drove it for a couple of years (had 11K on it when I bought it, 37K when I traded it). I traded the '75 to a local dealer who wanted it (badly) for his "classics" show-room, and we nearly traded even for a '89 Escort which I gave to my mom. Near as I know... he still has that Torino in his garage!

I can still remember dad and mom's Falcon, Galaxie, T-bird (which dad still has), Mustangs, LTD, Pinto, Tornios, Continental and Town Cars... and of course a list of F-series... I've personally owned other makes during my youth... but I've wised up over the years, and now will always have a Ford or three in the driveway...

Oh, to have back all the vehicles I've sold or junked.... so many memories.... and those pictures you posted really brought back my youth... THANKS! You've got a great collection there!

If you're giving away Mustangs like that to a grand-kids... is it too late to be adopted?? :D

If I had that many (again) in the driveway, the wife would shoot me, lol... About 10-yrs ago, I had 9 (running) vehicles in the driveway (and 6 parts cars/trucks in the back yard)... the wife said "either them or me" ... I had to think long and hard on that one, hahahaha.

The car I miss the most from my youth had to be my '67 Mustang Fastback GT. My father and I pulled it from a junk-yard in '79, and spent 2-yrs rebuilding it from the frame up - candy-apple red, hand rubbed lacquer, custom black & red leather interior, and a hand-built 289 V8 w/~300HP. I think I enjoyed building that car with my dad more than I did driving it because it was the last big father-son project we did before I realized girls existed! The Mustang was stolen in '84 and never recovered, otherwise, I'm sure I'd still have it today! I also miss my '78 F100 Explorer... what a brute of a truck... couldn't kill that 302 Boss, and it would go places most 4x4 wouldn't dare go....
