Of course I did this when I lived in WV......
I got a flat on my trailer tire up at the cabin. Had a jump box/compressor but nothing to fix the tire.
Hmmmm..... I took a narrow strip of duct tape folded it back on itself sticky side out. Took a screwdriver and pushed it into the tire like a regular old plug.
Don't have it anymore but it held air for at least two years.

Sometimes the mind, for reasons we don't necessarily understand, just decides to go to the store for a quart of milk.

A good use for REAL Duct tape as in the metallic kind is to write your mileage on it and put it under your hood when you change your oil. It is metallic so when you write on it there is a depression left in it that won't wipe off

Re: Uses for Duct Tape
I remember working with a crew of guys that put fiberoptics in out in california and the guy with the regular ball hitch went home sick, so when the detour light trailer had to get moved we took the other kind of hitch the one that looks like a c-clamp or vice. and closed the top part onto the trailer tongue and then duck taped it a couple of times. made it all the way over 3 block. and only started to fail when we backed the trailer in.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

I love Duct Tape but now have found Gorilla Tape. Twice as sticky and lasts out in the weather for literally years.

Nothing says poor craftsmanship like wrinkles in your duct tape.
Duct tape is like The Force. It has a light side and a dark side and it holds the universe together.
I bought red duct tape to help hold the seat cover together in my '66.
Go to YouTube and search for Duct Tape, there's all kinds of crafty things they're doing with the colored tape. I've almost considered making a wallet.

I did this with colored tape for a street art project we did when I was still in school. "Tape made of tape"
