Truck Cover

Post by Big Blue 72 »

Has anyone bought a truck cover from LMC or anywhere else? I don't want to do it but I gotta cover my truck this winter because my cab leaks. A tarp would be too abrasive to the paint. Basically just trying to find a good quality cover if someone has a recomendation.

i've been kind o flooking at one on ebay. but i dont completely like it. it is mositure proof and you have to make a hole in it for your anteena. but coems with a reinforcement fabris around the anteena hole. so the truck wont be completely covered. the anteena hole will let some weather in. the one i was looking at was around 65.00 plus shipping.

I bought one of those eBay covers last year for my 63chevy and it was a bust. After one yeR it has a tear in it. I am just hoping to get the winter out of it. The last cover I had was five years but it was 180 dollars. Get what you pay for on this one

:yt: what Cowbay said.
I'd bought three or four for the 71' Ranchero through the years. Word of caution here...
By no means do you want to use a tarp type material at all! Tried it and it wound up holding moisture in/on the Ranchero causing some mold issues, (which then stained the upholstery)!
Whatever you get it should be "breathable" so that it will let the moisture "wick" out from under the cover. Which is usually the more expensive covers... :hw:
