Soros buying up American gun and ammo mfgrs ?
Does anyone know if this is true?
"For the last several years a company called "The Freedom Group" has been buying up American gun and ammunition manufacturers.
Some of these companies are:
Bushmaster,
Marlin,
Remington,
DPMS,
Dakota Arms and
H&R.
DPMS Panther Arms
NEF
Dakota Arms
LC Smith
Parker
AAC
Barnes Bullets
EOTAC
INTC
Some people worry that Freedom Group is going to control most of the firearms companies in the United States. Of course, If you control the manufacturers you can decide not to sell to civilians, or, you can raise the prices to rediculous levels or you can make the supply of guns and ammo scarce - all sorts of logjams.
What a perfect way to control America's guns! If you do some digging you will see that The Freedom Group is owned by a Wall Street investment company called "Cerberus Capital Management".
"Cerberus" in the epic book "The Inferno" by Dante Alighieri, is a three-headed demon hound (from Roman mythology) that guards the Gates of Hell to prevent those damned souls who have just crossed the river Styx, from escaping back to the world.
Investor GEORGE SOROS owns Cerberus!
Please pass this on to all your freedom loving friends. This needs to come out - and quickly! Why have we not heard about this in the "mainstream" media? I would think this would be BIG news.
The absence of big media coverage on this important subject should be BIG news to you, too!"

It could be true, I have no idea, but gun control is a fantasy. I assume since you are interested in such a thing, you have guns, know others that have guns and know where to buy guns other than the sporting good store. Think of all the millions of firearms in this country. It's a quarter to six in the morning in my part right now and I could have anything I wanted by 6:30. Control of new stuff is not really much control if you think about it. It would be such a waste of time and resources.
There are many countries where guns are just flat out illegal. Of course, there are guns everywhere. In other words, I don't think it would be worth getting too worried about.

Hahaha, buuuuuuzzzzz, false.
Yeah, most of that kinda stuff is.
I am currently trying to corner the market on plastic sporks. When I own them all, I will then rule the country with an iron fist.

Hey woods, I just knew you were the plastic sporks kind of guy!
I usually don't pay attention to this kind of stuff, but I also am pretty leary of people(politicians) who want gun control.
Apathy has allowed many unbelievable things to happen.
Hope all is well with you and yours.

Oh, I agree 100%. The lack of critical thinking is at an all time high. Never being concerned or questioning what you are being fed is never a good thing. We are RIFE with corruption and those who say something about it are labeled as kooks, which is exactly what the corrupt want. Taking away someone's credibility is their best defense and it works.
Not much a guy like me can do about it, but at least I won't always follow blindly and I can take some slight solace in that.

I wish Google or Facebook would put a Snopes filter on thier sites. Then again I might miss the pages and pages of wall postings my friends put on there about "passing this onto all your friends or something will happen at midnight"

Just a few thoughts after reading this thread
Snopes is not all that some might think
http://beforeitsnews.com/story/83/370/S ... posed.html
Soros has an agenda...Do your homework
And, Let me see if I've understood this correctly. The theory is that the
Fast & Furious Operation was approved and set into motion by
President Obama and Attorney General Holder with at least one of the
goals being to permit a large number of US purchased firearms to
disappear, untraced, to Mexican drug cartels in order to cause serious
death and mayhem and thus create a crisis that would allow the
administration to demand a series of draconian gun control measures in
the United States? Is that about right ?

First, I would like to say that I am NOT affiliated with any sort of left wing group or the Democratic party in any way or am I a Democrat.. I personally find that liking all ideas from one side on all issues, because they are on the same side as you, to be a bit sheep like.
Now saying that, you do realize that you have now taken the word of another website the same way that people take the word of snopes right?
I mean, he accuses snopes of being very liberal, but on the other hand, he is an extremist on the other side. So if a liberal slant is governing the way snopes writes "facts" what does his slant do to his facts?
I'm just saying that maybe they both have dog in the fight on opposite sides and to take either as the end all closer on something probably should not be done.

Anymore, it is very hard to know who to trust and indeed it does take a great deal of investigation and even then you are not always sure. I personally believe that one party in particular want gun control and I do believe they are being very sneaky about it. So, Americans be ware and be wise and start asking questions. The easiest way to defeat an enemy is not to fight them but join them. By ignoring them they will flourish. Many many good men and women gave their lives for our freedoms while millions more have paid a high price. We need to do what we can to protect those freedoms for the next generation.
Woods I agree we need not to be sheep by blindly following anyone but think on our own. Start asking your local politicians questions, and listen because they are our leaders in the future. Make them accountable.
With that said, my apologizes for creating any political strife with this thread, my bad.

It's not really political so much. Well, not what I'm saying anyway. It may have political examples in it but generally is just based in common sense and the want for more people to have it. With almost all things, there is a happy medium and it usually falls in the middle somewhere.thrush544 wrote:Anymore, it is very hard to know who to trust and indeed it does take a great deal of investigation and even then you are not always sure. Without saying too much about my own personal gun room...As you know, I am a Vet. To be very specific, a Marine Corps, scout sniper 2/4. So you could say that I not exactly 'anti gun'. At the beginning of this presidents running the first time, I heard tons of horror stories from my friends how as soon as he got in, all guns would be snatched out of my home along with any sharp objects I may have. Remember the mass sales on ammo for fear it was going to be taken away? Didn't happen. Nothing has really changed aside from the stories of what 'might' happen. I mean, it's good to know that people are concerned, but I have sure heard a lot of 'facts' in my life that did not turn out.
Being right in the thick of combat and even immersed in a people who are our enemy (in many countries) and then hearing both the right and the left's sides "facts" of what was really happening and them both being dead wrong (I was there) I started to get a bit biased towards both ends of the spectrum trying to one up the other side with kooky statements that had very little base in truth.

I cannot talk about this subject as well as you guys can. I don't know as much and am not as smart plus I might have had a beer or three.
I do believe that as a whole the Liberals want to get the guns out of the people's hands. They fear them and us as long as we own firearms. They want the people to be completely dependent on them for their health care, housing, food, transportation and anything else they can get. I read somewhere that I cannot quote that when the current President got in office that the woman from the left coast ( I can't remember her name but she is ugly and a bit crazy) wanted him to go after the guns right away and he told her it was not the right time to do it so they held off.
I would bet everything in my checking and savings. (lol) my wife left last month, that IF he gets another term he'll go after them with all he has since he can't go any further.
I just hope this gun mess he is tangled up with prevents his next term.
