Reassembly has officially begun! Just gotta get the nuts on and torque 'em down then do the other side and I'm ready to hang the axle housing.

Just tighten the bolts up, don't torque or do a final tightening on any of the suspension bolts until its completely assembled. If you do it wont allow the suspension to relax. Just a general rule

Something else to add. You want the full weight of the vehicle on the suspension before doing the final tighten. This puts the bushings in the "normal" position when tightened down. U Bolts can be tightened any time.

Taking a week off from work next week to dedicate to the bump. Got the axle pivot and radius arm bushings from Energy Suspension delivered today.

I-beams will be back from the machine shop on Monday with new kingpins and disc brake spindles. The goal is to get the front suspension reinstalled (less shocks cause I'm broke now), rear axle housing bolted in place (less 3rd member and axles cause I'm broke now), run new Polyarmour brake lines, mount the p/s steering gear box, finish gutting the cab and sandblast, POR-15 and paint the bottom. Oh yeah, and I have to refloor our bathroom with ceramic tile for my wife Figure I'll work on that in between painting stuff and when I need a break

Not making much progress this week like I had hoped. Did get my brake line brackets installed.

And got the axle housing bolted in with new u-bolts, just snug, not torqued. Think I'll leave the plastic on it for the time being to protect the paint.

Now the weather's turned crappy so motivation's at an all time low.

You got it coach! Machine shop let me down this week. I called last week and checked on my I-beams and king pin bushings and the machinist, who I consider a friend, told me he'd get 'em done Saturday. Called Monday to check and he told me they had one of their racing clients have a major breakdown and had to work all day Saturday getting him a new engine for Sunday so it'd be later on in the week before he could work 'em in. That was one of my major projects this week was to get the I-beams painted and in, springs cleaned up, painted and installed (now it's cold and rainy so no painting) and get the radius arms installed. Oh well, best laid plans .... But I ain't giving up! Just a minor scheduling setback.

Easy. Head east to Atlanta then turn left. Bring a jacket! In case you're not familiar with the concept it's kinda like a shirt only heavier and more insulated. Used to keep humans warm during that season, unfamiliar to SoCal residents, called w-i-n-t-e-r. A time when the temps drop below 60* and beer is kept cold outdoors without the need of refrigeration. Your thermometers probably start at 70* out there so it may be uncomfortable for you here. 'preciate the offer though!

Bring a WHAT? A JACKET? What's That? I need more description please...diagrams and pictures would help along with an installation manual. Please also include a video showing how a person installs this unheard of device. It's a crazy idea, but I'm willing to go along with it for the sake of FORDification and it's members. (The things I do for fellow members...scheeze)

I think your driving directions may be incorrect (or maybe I read them wrong...probably) Anyway, I headed out this morning towards your place and ended up at the beach? Couldn't figure out how I was supposed drive across the ocean to get there? No markings, no signs...nothing indicating how to get to Atlanta...unless you meant Atlantis?...you know, that mythical sunken place. If so, NOW I understand about this cold thing of which you speak.
