Got some of the worst news today that i never wanted to hear

Post by 69rangerf100 »

Got some of the worst news today that i never wanted to hear come from my wife's mouth. so lately my wife has been having alot of different medical problems mostly migraines. so she got a call from her doctor the other day and missed the call so they left her a voicemail on her cell. so when she called them back today they told her that her T-cell count was high and that she needed to go and see a specialist to go get more testing done. the last time i got this new i was 13 yrs old and my mom and dad told me that my dad had cancer. which he faught til he passed on 1/9/98, still to this day i struggle with his lose b/c he was so involved in my life while i was growing up. i have been freaking out since she told me when she got home from school today. i honestly dont know what i would do if i lose her to. she holds this family together so well and i dont want my kids to go through what i did with a parent fighting cancer at such a young age. the worst part of this is we wont know till mid november when he has her appointment with the oncologist.

My prayers are with your family. Just some tests however. These things usually turn out to be nothing to worry about.

David,
I know what you are going through, my dad passed when I was in junior high. The doctors thought my girlfriend of 13 years had cancer and I flashed back to wnen I was a kid and felt totally helpless. After the waiting for additional tests which felt like years but most likely was weeks and a surgery they found out that it was benign and has not been a problem since. I am thinking of you and your wife and wish you the best. As mr Majestyk said the technology of today is light years beyond what the had when our dads were sick. Keep your spirits up and think positive. If you need someone to talk to let me know.

Our prayers are with your wife, yourself and your family. I pray for your strength to be of the very best support for your wife and that God will take away this issue as he is the great healer.

My wife of 3 years got the "follow up call" from her mamogram two days ago, so we're going in October 31st for a better evaluation. Spending a lot of time in prayer and faith that God will keep her safe and cancer free. The wait is a nasty villian.

May God Bless you all,
Ed

Your post brings recent memories flooding back to me. I pray that all will be ok. At times it is hard to do, but stay positive. I wish you all the best. I know my wife Vicki is looking down and sending her love and best wishes your way.

i think what is scaring me the most is that when we had our youngest daughter almost 3 years ago. The OB doing the C-section found a benign ovarian cyst on one of her ovaries and removed it to run tests. since then she has just had so many different medical problems.

i gratly appreciate all the encouragement that everyone is sending my way this is true a great community family to be apart of.

Thanks,

David
