Just to show you how much of an inspiration your build is to me, I actually started to disassemble, clean, repair and paint the 2WD F350 front suspension I got from zakt (a member here).

It might take me 6 cups of coffee. two packs of smokes and a gallon of Geritol to get me started, but YOU get me moving more so. I'll also be able to get more done when my Walker is out of the shop...I'm installing a 390 in it, should move pretty quick I reckon.

...so see, if your project inspires a seasoned citizen like myself, just think what it's doing to the youngins' here!

Hurry up and get to your motor and trans...I've got a spare 390 sitting on my engine stand and a spare C6 sitting on my work bench just waiting for YOU to motivate me and countless others here!

I hear ya Jerry! The ol' bump budget is exhausted and I'm back to waiting on more funding. Thanks for the encouragement!

Well I just joined the forum so I could get some info about my New 67 crew cab and low and behold I discover a neighbor near my hometown. I grew up in Ellijay and my house and property is right behind the super wall mart on the hill. My Future Retirement after we get Obama out and the economy comes back! Now I live in San Diego (wife's hometown) but I still have my house and 36 foot shop man I sure miss my shop"!!! Now that I am trying to do a restoration on the side of my house here in sunny San Diego I wish I was back home but can't beat the weather and the so cal scene for cars!! I will have to come by and pay you a visit next time I am home so I can see your truck. My sister lives in Jasper with my two nephews and works at the school. I used to teach shop at the Gilmer high school with James Jackson now retired. I love your build! I will start my own thread and start posting as I figure out this forum stuff. keep up the great work!

Thank you and can't wait to work on my 67 your build is looking awesome and keep the photos coming with any tips you have. Do they still have the car get togethers over at the exit near woodstock on the weekends? What about the Dirt track at the woodstock race track? They have not shut it down yet have they? Anyways I will post in a few weeks some pictures of my build I am going hunting this week out in Utah and I will not be back for a week. Just like home but instead of Whitetails like back home they get bigger (Elk) in Utah. Take care.

Never been to the woodstock gathering but they still have the cruise in at Canton, on Riverstone Pkwy, on the 3rd Sat of every month and in Jasper on the 4th Sat of every month. The dirt track's still there and running strong. Happy hunting! See you when you get back. :fr:
