You diagnosis of the code is spot on...as is your thoughts of getting out now, if you were to pull it, replace solenoid, do the sleeve repair, & replace the converter.....you would have a bunch of $$$$ & time/work..in a 200,000 mile car....You would always wonder /// what is going to go next?They are good cars, & these tranny's are good too, except for a couple of weak spots which we covered.... Jeeps & Toyota trucks also use a version of this trans.. sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I think your choice may be solid.... Donnie

Well I am back...
Not having many takers at a reduced price so I may have to at least fix at it in order to sell it.
Is there any way to pin out the solenoids to see if its a solenoid problem or deeper and is there any source of re-manufactured transmissions at something approaching "reasonable"?

I am still considering options, haven't done too much with it but trying to come up with a resolution is on the to do list for Thanksgiving week...
