Congrats Jerry. Black-powder opened here (my thing) but sadly enough i didn't realize I had to put in for a quota to hunt the public land I want to here. Next year hopefully different.

Thats a nice buck , ours don't normally get that big .
in the southern part of Mi and Illinois they're more common.
I haven't even made it out yet too many other priorities, but I have till the end of the month for gun season.
If I did bow hunt I'd have until January.
Nice rack Jerry, Filling your tag bow hunting is no easy feet. Ive just never had any luck bow hunting myself. Im looking foward to open season on saterday and hoping to see something like that coming my way
During the month of Brovember, a man is exempt from feminine activities in order to strengthen the bonds between his bros.
Really like that! Will have to remember that going forward into my next relationship.
2nd that on never having luck with a bow, (hunted three seasons in florida with a Bear compound bow-I could never afford a nice bow). It was always still 90 degrees in So. Florida during bow season! Dressed in full long sleeve camo in 90 degree weather...
Had to been quite a sight also Jerry to see the rut going on! Read and heard many stories about it, but I've never seen it.

I really don't think I could get into hunting in that warm of climate.....I sweat when it's 50+ here

Jeff I've only ever seen stuff like that on TV...awesome in itself....a BONUS to walk away with the best buck in the bunch.
Got mine Nov 2nd in our PA archery season. There were three nice bucks chasing back and forth for almost an hour before the two bigger ones came in to me. I also hunt on the ground and it's quite the rush to have a big eight standing ten or fifteen feet away while you're waiting for this bigger nine to poke out just a wee bit more for the shot.
He was a very big animal. Real heavy rack and 18-1/2 plus on the inside. Not a trophy to most but I'll be displaying him proudly on my wall. Did'nt have means to weigh the deer but I got over 80 lbs. of cut and wrapped meat from him with no adding of any fat to burger. That should've put him over the 200 lb. mark I'd guess.
Only bummer about archery season is the deer season is over for me now. We have bear season coming in tomorrow and then that's it for me other than maybe popping out with some buddies and maybe gunny for one if they nail one.

NICE Buck Bob.....I'm looking to catch a 10ptr tommorow on a different piece of property I hunt.....saw him during bowbut, never close enough.....that all changes tommorow Where abouts in PA are ya? I have a freind that shot a Nice Black bear couple of years back.....2nd or 3rd in NY for bow,we struggled long and hard to get him out of the woods
I'm in Western Pa about 35 miles north of Pittsburgh. It's sort of a mix of farms and burbs around me. We go to Forest County for bear. There are a few bear spotted near me every so often but per per square mile... Forest is one of the best counties in PA for bear kills. More kills per sqaure mile than some of the bigger counties. I got a 2-1/2 year old male back in 2001. Was about 150 dressed.

He's been stashed away in a spare bedroom for years now because the bloodhound I had had me worried he was gonna chew him up. I need to finish a mount for him and get him out in my living room. My new dog Bubba doesn't chew things up like Buddy did...

Thats a nice one too...my friend got his mounted with the front paw's up on a log. I don't remember how old but, he was around the 500lb mark.
I've work throughout PA but, never on your side of the state. I've alway thought it looked like good huntin and have seen black bears on my way to variuos job sites.
