Not the best picture in my opinion, but I didn't take it.

Image

Saw this and just started hummin' some CCR.

Image

Don't really have a caption for this one.

Image

Anyway, most fun of the week was I was able to get over to an open house of the MATV armored vehicles rollover simulator trainers. That was a good ole time for sure, and teaches the Army dudes how to get out quick from different angles if need be.

So I put together a video for our deployment, and was sorely disappointed how the scratch on my lens made the finished product come out with unacceptable quality. The last straw was an awesome picture from two days ago, that could have been my best from the trip came out horribly misfocused. Unfortunately today the once good Cannon I've been daily carrying has impacted the ground at a high rate of speed, and now have picked up an overpriced Cannon Powershot a2200. I don't think it will do everything I want, but should get me through the rest of this trip. Didn't want to risk Heather mailing me the expensive good hardware from home and it getting broken as well, or here way to late to be useful.

Anyway, compilation video from so far this trip. Language warning on the song.

This video is a little over two years old now, so I figure the statute of limitations are up on being posted. Language warning on standard flightline vocabulary.

After the camera charges up, we should be back in biz for pictures next week.

New pictures from the new AS2200 Powershot that will get me through the rest of this trip.

Already started to snow here and stay sub freezing. Yeehaw winter.

Halloween was fun.

Image

Image

Always something on the move.

Image

Image

So CE comes to the office one day and asks for a little flightline assistance. Their JLG can't get to the top of a tower for some equipment maintenance.

"Sure, our Condor can get as high as you need, so where do you need us?"

"Few miles back in the woods."

Oh snap...

Image

Image

Image

Well, first try wasn't quite in the right position with the support wires in the way, so when trying a 3pt turn in the woods, I stuck the fawk out of it. No problem though, lets lock in the power divider, and front axle. No go, she went down the hubs...

Image

Luckily, built in jacks to the rescue to lift me out, and put plates under the tires to back out of the holes I dug.

Image

Anyway, second position worked great, and the job was done pretty quickly.

Finally, some more airplane shots.

Towed for a power run.

Idle.

Adrianspeeder, Your welcome, Thank s to all of you for giving us our freedom!

I'm just the messanger as it's from our church congregation who want to say thank you in a way that it matters and share God's love with all of you away from home. (Sorry there wasn't more goodies for you guys as it was the end of the collection.) I'm going to print the picture and bring it to the deacons. Whew!! there was a lot of Irish Spring in there!!!

We are going to be sending out Christmas cards, is there guys in your unit who don't get any mail? Or, if allowed, send me how many soldiers in your unit and their first names and we'll gets cards for all of them and send them in a box to you.

Thanks again for your service! May God bless you all with his peace and saftey

Ed
