sandblasting

Post by jimmy828 »

I am new at the sandblasting technique. What i would like help with, is what would be a good abrasive to sand blast the underside of the truck bed with? I am going to sand most of outside of bed and want to sandblast the underside since there are places that are hard to reach. :hmm:

I've always used sand.
I live by Lake Michigan so there's plenty of sand mining places.

The big home stores have play sand or mortar mix sand,
it just has to be dry and fine enough so it doesn't plug the tips.

I've had great results with this http://www.tractorsupply.com/sandblasti ... PricingCmd Pretty messy but does great without the silica residue that sand leaves. Cheap enough to be cost effective and flows good even through a siphon blaster.
