The vet and the noob

Post by happycamper »

Got the 'ol lady stirred up now...She said,"two leaf blowers, two trimmers, and now two trucks?" Hey, everything is better in pairs. One for work and one for pleasure, who cares about the make.

don't think I'd go there my friend - you will wind up lucky to have a gas can, much less a gas guzzler! Been there, done that.

I got the dodge-podge because I needed a write off for my construction business. I had some 'splaining to do and everything was okay. The veteran is paid for, so I don't think the IRS would take to kindly of me writing off restoration expenses....if that were possible, I'd say lets go frame off. At any rate the 71 has earned, and marked, its spot in the garage, no need to beat it up anymore.

I know this is not a popular opinion to have on a Ford oriented web site...But I gotta tell you, I really dig the hell out of my Dodge Cummins pickup.
Everyone that has been a friend of mine over the years is shocked about the lack of bitching I do about this truck. Pretty much every newer vehicle I have bought...I just pick it apart until my friends are sick of hearing about it. If something bugs me about a truck or car. I will complain about it until I just unload it for something else. So far...I have put almost 300k on this truck and have done nothing but change tires and oil. I have nothing bad to say about it. Never thought I would own one, but, glad I got this one.

Cant beat a Dodge man  everyone is always craping on them for no reason it seems like  or at least they cant prove it to me my family owns 11 Dodges an everyone is a champ now or before they where parked waiting for funds for the right restore  My 05 hemi DD is a beast gets killer MPG an ran a 12.87 at sac last summer i beat her dry almost everyday, she never once has skipped a beat, and i mean NOTHING, a new battery an new tires is all ive done aside from the normal maint. At 155k now an 70 miles a day to work i would never second think about slaping the loud stick in a chance to mess with some guy whatever on the highway. Every other dodge at the familys house is used hard an put away wet an never heard a lick of trouble with them  so when people rag on Dodge i just think to myself that they must be the unlucky ones becasue i love eveyone that ive ownd 8)
Love them both

I don't know guys, i've owned nothing but Dodge since '98 (less my bumpside). I can find plenty wrong with them! j/k j/k ;)

happycamper, I tell the Mrs: "I need two in case one breaks!"

Love my Dodge! Never let me down. Not too fond of the weak azz dana 44 front end tho.

I gave up on Dodge when I couldn't afford "Daimler-Benz" parts anymore...I can fix a Ford with whatever I have on hand.

I actually kinda like not knowing what parts cost for mine. Never had to buy anything. I'm just not brand loyal to anything. If something I have is a turkey, you know you will hear about it. Ya know...I did actually change the sway bar bushingings a while back. Stupid things only went a quarter million miles, so that was a pile of junk. But, I just picked some up at an parts house, cheap.
