Got New Ford Love it!
My husband just got me a new 2011 Ford F150 Eco boost. OMG I love this baby. However I get mixed Feelings on my rear window.
In the rear window it had lettering put on it. It states:
Built without tax payers money.
Every Ford person loves it. I have been flipped off a few times. The best part is I live by a church. And last Sunday there was a new Chevy Volt parked along the road. Sorry I couldn't help myself. I park my truck in front of it. And watched everyone walk by the two when church let out. Even god thought it was funny!!!!!!!

Re: Got New Ford Love it!
Actually, your Ecoboost truck WAS built with taxpayer money...
I hate to say it but while Ford wasn't part of the official bailout loans(AIFP), Ford did lobby congress heavily in favor of the bailout claiming a GM or Chrysler failure would endanger the Blue Oval too. Then they quietly asked for and received 5.9 billion to retool to build more fuel efficient cars and trucks. Who got a bunch of that money? Why the Lima, Ohio EcoBoost V6 plant where your F150 engine was built...

Re: Got New Ford Love it!
As for the bail out.... Ford was already in the smarts of building cars that people wanted. What about the Focus???? And from what I have heard, the ecoboost has been in the torus for a little while. I believe. Don't quote me on it. Either way, this is the way I look at it. We build cars and trucks people want and can afford. What has Chevy built with OUR TAX dollars? A car that hardly anyone can afford. What the Volt I believe is 43k loaded. And as a bonus once you get it. You can't charge it for it starts on fire. That is a waste of my money.
As for my eco boost. I get 18-19 in town and on the way from Lincoln, Illinois to Brodhead Wi. pulling an empty trailer with head wind, I got 21. Coming back home with a fully loaded trailer I got 25 mpg. And it has pick up and go let me tell you. You hit the gas and that beast becomes a V8 real quick. Love it. I was gone a week to GA my husband drove my truck back and forth to work five days a week. Filled it up on Monday and didn't have to refill until Monday following week. He drives 95 miles each day. His Ford Ranger. Would have to refill by Thursday.

Re: Got New Ford Love it!
Krista,I couldn't agree more with your thought's on the bailout
Sounds like a great truck, I've got some friends that are real happy with there's too....If my 05 wasn't paid for,I'd think about trading up.....don't miss the payment
With a chip and K&N filter,mine pulls 16-17/19-20 and did it's best with a load of (25)drywall.....23mpg
There truley work horses and seem to run better with a load and with your sticker it makes it that much more of Beast
GM.....GREED MOSTLY
