My online status no longer appears.

Threads I've responded to no longer have a 'star' in them.

A list of members that have been online in the last 24 hours no longer appears.

A list of members that are online currently no longer appears.

...these are the few things I've noticed in the last couple of weeks.

Me too, Donnie

I am also no longer subscribed to threads I have been following for years. I am seeing all the other stuff posted above.

I thought I was just being penalized for visiting so infrequently. Good to see I am not the only one.

Well, a new one for me. My security settings just started going nuts & I got this when I tried to post a reply:

General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

User fordific6 already has more than 'max_user_connections' active connections [1203]

An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists.

Wonder if this has anything to do with the spammers we've been getting lately. Years on the forum and I'd never see any spam posts until about a month ago.

The SQL errors and other odd stuff happens on occasion, usually when the server side gets cluttered. Keith had to do some housecleaning last year when it acted up. The site is picking up 5-10 new users a week and we IP filter out the spammers each morning, usually 1-2 a week.

Keith has been MIA at the moment, not been active on either the .com or .net sites or the oldsmobility.com site.

The Malware that my work network began detecting on this site on Monday is now gone (for now anyway). As of this morning, I am able to access the forums from work once again. So something is definately going on with the site as I checked with our network administrator and NOTHING changed on this end. The security settings for our network are the same as they have been for the past few weeks. Again, dont know if this helps anyone, but the info is there.

Is anyone actually looking in to this? I know Keith ultimately handles this stuff, but he seems to be MIA from this site a lot while he is building the Dent site. Is there anyone else that steps in and fills his shoes to take care of problems that might arise?

I googled your error message, it seems relatively common false positive on McAfee's side.

There is no other Admin, he is it. We are looking into it to the extent that we are trying to determine what is going on and trying to contact Keith.

If Keith ever reads this for info...

I have notification of (1 new message for a PM) but there is no new messages in my IN Box and no way to get this to clear... Also, have times that I have read all the posts in a forum and it still shows unread post in the forum header but I read them all,,, I have to mark the forum as read before it will clear it and make it so that there are not new post in the forum. I have some others that even is I mark it as all read it still wont clear a post as read...

That is good, can you expand on what message you were getting from your security software?

With at least 2 people getting security messages and I believe Jamie also got something, there might be fire where there is smoke.

I run Norton and have not gotten any warnings.

I have gotten a DNS error with some regularity over the last couple of days only on here.

That PM is from me. We have already talked about it so no worry that you are missing something.

It is hung in my outbox as well, but does not display.

It'll hang in the outbox until Keith reads it.

I didn't get any bugs, don't run an active antivirus or spyware. Site is running slow, I don't see the stats and when I switch puters the forums don't show the threads I've read as the lighter blue.
