Hey guys Haven't been on here in a while, between switching jobs awhile back (and hunting season) I've been pretty hooked up. When I turned in my company truck I had to take the King Ranch away from the wife, and trust me, she had become quite attached to it Her '06 Altima is paid for so it went to the daughter and Mama got a new Lincoln Actually an '09 low mileage certified pre-owned AWD MKX. Personally I don't like the body-style but hey, she loves it and that's all that matters, correct?

Those are nice trucks, and the guidelines for Certifying a "Certified pre-owned" Lincoln are brutal, let me tell you. So you can be confident you got a nice ride. Congrats
If the oposite of the saying "Ain't Mama happy, ain't nobody happy" is true, and I think to large degree it is, than you sir are correct. I'm sure my wife would be happy with one of those as well but for now she'll have to make due with the old minivan.

You ain't kiddin' I thought the CPO guidelines for Fords were tough, but the Lincolns are much tougher. Basically you get a new vehicle (the warranty is actually better than a new vehicle) for about 15K less than a new one.

SOLD-71 F-350 dually flatbed, 302 / .030 over V-8 with a "baby"C-6, B & M truckshifter, Dana70/4.11 ratio, intermittent wipers, tilt steering, full LED lighting on the flat bed, and no stereo yet (this way I can hear the rattles to diagnose)! SOLD!
Many Ford bumps / one 76' EB / and several dents through the years.
A lot of "oddball" Ford parts collected from working on them for 34 years now!

It's a 3.5 litre V6 with the 6spd automatic. I finally got to drive it today It really is a sweet ride. Heated & cooled leather, the rear seats are heated also. The same navigation & voice-activated sync system as the King Ranch. Even with the 20inch perellis it rides and handles just like you'd expect from a Lincoln I think they look good together

Have you read about any recalls on the tranny for the Lincoln? I do know the "2nd generation" of Escape has the same six speed and has had many recall issues from:
1) Tranny line leak at the cooler
2) Possible torque convertor issues
3) Possible clutch pack issues
Hope the Lincoln is also not prone to the same issues!

I did a LOT of research beforehand. There were some problems with the '07 MKXs but seems Ford got them worked out. It's got 48K on it now with a 100K bumper to bumper warranty, and will be traded in before the warranty is out. (Sooner if we start having problems)
