Yeah, the laws don't seem to actually apply to LAW enforcement. In example...a million years ago when was a kid, they got all hot and heavy on bumper height and mud flaps. If your bumper was more than (I want to say like 22 inches) off of the ground, then you had to BY LAW have mud flaps. Yeah, go and and measure a stock high boy. So a stock rig won't pass.flyboy71 wrote:Heres another twist on the issue depending how legislation is worded. CB's would also fall under this if they went this far. That begs the question though that if they ban two way radios police and fire should also fall under the same law. Hmmm![]()

Are you kiddin'? My horns been broke since I owned the truck, (yeah I've needed it many...times too).oh for the days of horns and single digit communication.
The only law involving women in a truck should be...NO CRYING.woods wrote:Yes, but what if I have a lit sign in my truck.
I want a law that states no pretty girls in your truck next to you. I've almost cashed due to that.
Even tougher with my Crackberry...Mancar1 wrote:![]()

Hope I don't run into anyone while reading all these great posts off my laptop.

I so...need the bumper sticker "horn broke-watch for finger".Although I should finally have the horn working real soon now, (half my issue was the steering column-which I'm almost past now).
The latest on this from yahoo is that it will probably fall upon each state, (to regulate and dictate whether or not they want to ban the use of a particular device or not). I believe this will become a "gray area" real soon when you think about the following.
I live 5 miles from the Georgia state line, (where I've been told Georgia has a ban on texting when driving). And yet Tennessee where I live has no ban.
Yet when I cross the state line, (usually a daily basis for work) there is nothing that tells me about a ban?
Would each state have to erect a large monitor at the state line informing us of driving regulations? I bet they wouldn't, just like the old saying "ignorance of the law-is no excuse".![]()
And how about the huge new style digital billboards on the side of the roads now? Wouldn't they also classify as a major distraction-should we ban them as well?
We have one. There, now you don't need a sign.basketcase0302 wrote: I live 5 miles from the Georgia state line, (where I've been told Georgia has a ban on texting when driving). And yet Tennessee where I live has no ban.

I can completely get behind that, I HATE bill boards, ALL billboards. I say we ban all roadside signs. Write your congressman. I'm not kidding.basketcase0302 wrote:And how about the huge new style digital billboards on the side of the roads now? Wouldn't they also classify as a major distraction-should we ban them as well?
