Waiting on a grandbaby!

Post by sargentrs »

Sitting up here in Pigeon Forge, TN waiting on my baby girl to deliver a baby girl. They just kicked us out of the room and contractions are about 30 sec apart with dilation to 8 cm. Won't be long now! Broke this daddy's heart to see his little girl crying with the pain. I've watched her cry with many a boo-boo but this one daddy can't make better. Husband's by her side and he's holding her hand and being a good hubby. He's a good man so I'm comfortable leaving her in his hands. Nothing to do but wait.....

Congratulation on the arrival of your grand daughter! She is quite cute. Now start whispering in her ear, bump, bump, and Ford trucks are cool, over and over again. :D

BTW, last year my youngest daughter started driving. She opted to drive my 72 F-250 bump over a 96 Buick LeSabre when I gave her a choice. It sure surprised folks when a 16 year old cheerleader climbed out of an old 3/4 ton truck. She drove that bump for quite a few months, until her friends convinced her the Buick wasn't too uncool. I would always smile when I saw her driving down our driveway in my truck, 5,000+ pounds of security wrapped around her in her first months on the road by herself made me feel good. Some of her senior pictures were taken on our property both inside and outside of the bump. Wish I could say she is a country girl, but were just rural small town people.

Good luck with convincing her to drive a truck, but most of all, just enjoy her growing and maturing. I am certain that you already know they grow up too fast (and we get old too fast)!
