time to say goodbye

Post by westernkansas »

It has come time to get rid of my hungry hippo, 72 w/390. I put it up on a local buy sale trade site. asking a bit much for it, $1,500.00 obo. But when I look on that site and see automobiles for sale for 3 grand that has either been wrecked or needs a motor or tranny. I figure what the heck I will ask as much as I am asking for it. thus far I have had two parties interested in it. the first person will be by new years eve morning wants a project, the second person is a local dealership.

Reason I decided it was time is that since wife lost her job, it has been a struggle to come up with the cash needed to keep her running, and we are planning on moving to oklahoma in 2013. I could look for another one down there, and won't have to worry about her passing any inspections for bringing a vehicle from one state to another.

Don't know where in Oklahoma you're moving but I've seen plenty of Bumps in the Okie state. Good luck with the sale and the move.

Yes I have been there over the years. Reminds me of when I had to sell my 59 Ford Galaxie and 48 Ford f5, but one Good luck on the future move. As for another bump that is the one good thing about them is that they are relatively affordable for an old collevtor vehicle.

I have brought two from kansas to oklahoma and missouri, only inspection in ok was they checked the vin on the door unless there was a sticker on the rear pillar. and mo was that and a safety inspection. but yeah you should have no problem finding one in The OK state.
