Must Be Magic!
So I was trying to clean oil and paint off of my hands from working on my truck. Nothing was working I even went as far as taking a butter knife and scraping some of the paint off. My wife being who she is, and not liking my little greasy finger prints all over everything told me to clean up my mess. So she through me a magic eraser. Let me tell you, I already new that it cleaned stuff good, but than I started using it on my hands. Fricken Amazing Results! I am going to get a box to put by the sink in the garage!

I use them on the range top, now I have another use for them. Thanks.

Re: Must Be Magic!
Best thing I have found for grease & oil stained hands is preventing it with hand lotion. Dry skin sucks up the grease/oil but a good coating with any hand lotion helps it stay on the surface and wash off. Just be sure the guys don't find a tube of rose petal/jasmin whatever scented lotion in the shop... My wife gets the unscented Avon stuff for me.

I like the Dawn dish detergent with Oder Eater/Eraser.
It removes the oil/grease and the Oder Eater removes the
oil/gas smell from my hands.
It is also not expensive.
Happy New Year.

Purple 3M scotch-brite pads soaked in liquid soap work well removing dirt and grease.

when i run out of "actual" handcleaner i resort to used coffee grounds and either powdered laundry soap or some palmolive liquid dish soap if my hands are getting dried out from the laundry soap

Re: Must Be Magic!
I always use a scotch bright, I even have one in the shower. Isn't near as painfull on the hands/arms as it sounds, BUT I don't get too rowdy with it in other places. Scrubs the grease right off and exfoliates too!

Re: Must Be Magic!
It sounds crazy but...a stick of softened butter mixed with about a cup and a half of sugar takes off grease/oil and gets rid of the smell. the sugar acts as an abrasive. You just have to keep from gnawing on your fingers bucause they smell like toast
If the definition of crazy is "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result " It would certainly explain why I keep buying these old Fords

Magic erasers are the shiz nit for cleaning up stuff, even permanent marker but it is really hard on the skin. It will dry up your hands really bad. And no I am the oppisite of the manicure perfectly clean hands type.

Re: Must Be Magic!
I occasionally use liquid glove (when I think of it) It's a lotion that you rub into your hands before you get them in the grease and it helps the clean-up. Sort of like the hand lotion idea mentioned earlier I guess.
