O.T. 2000 Focus, P code engine

Post by two-bit »

Someone i know, NOT ME. Bought this P.O.S. for $400.00
Guess what, it needs a new engine
Is there anyway to get these 2.0L SOHC motors better? They seem pretty weak.

How hard to transplant the Z-tec DOHC 2.0L engine into it?
I can get a Z-tec w/ 80K for $450. 90 day warr. blah, blah, blah.

Is it just mounts-n-stuff? or does tha damn computer have to changed, harness, trans, ect?

Thanks

Probably dropped a valve seat if its the split port. sometimes you get lucky and can put a new head on it and get away with it, but not often. sometimes you can get away with a new head, pistons, and a hone. as far as swapping a z tec into it, i dont know.
