Factory spot light ?

Post by 49FordF1 »

I was working on my bump today and while taking a break I started checking out the spot light. At a closer look I noticed the light housing has a Ford logo on it so I was wondering if it was a dealer option or maybe an accessary for the camper specials.
My bump is a '72 Ranger XLT. I can't find anything stating it is a CS. Any info or opinions is welcome.

Here's a link to the '72 Truck Accessories catalog showing that spotlight.

I installed one on my '67. Here's a link to the installation thread:

Thank's for the info guys and the link, (that was way cool).
I think the spot light and the bed side cargo hold make mine a lot different than the rest of the old pickups around here.

I am wanting to find a spotlight for my bump, I have seem several for sale on ebay with differant length shafts. What I want to know is how long it has to be to work in our trucks. :help:

Could someone measure on for me please?

I measured mine from where the shaft that goes thru the cowl post and it is between 12 - 13 inches from where the shaft meets the housing on the outside and the handle on the inside.
