Yes sir. Should be out cruising in it this spring. We're gonna have to go scare some imports for sure this year. Probably have the paint shot end of February, and assembled in March.

Was it that baby blue highboy you were wanting to paint? I like that truck.

'67 Short Bed Build (Update1/12) Block Sanding

Post by 1967AceStroker »

Let the block sanding begin! Got it all primed with guide coat, now we sand. It looks pretty rough in the first pic, but it actually blocked out pretty good. Got into a little of the original paint and primer that was left underneath. But all the guide coat sanded down so I'm pretty good there. Wasn't quite done with this side when I took the pic.

This side blocked out really nice.

More to come as it happens.

67 Short Bed Build (Update2/28) Ready For Paint

Post by 1967AceStroker »

I got all the body work done!!! Got the last primer coat done, and got it all sanded. It took about 20 hours of wet sanding primer to get to this point. But at least it's ready for paint, other than wiping the truck down and cleaning the garage a bit. It will probably be a week, or so before I can spray it and I can't wait. I will definitely post more pics when it gets sprayed.

My truck don't look like a 4x4 anymore from sitting on those car dollies.

My other truck's rear main seal decided to start leaking. Gonna have clean that up before paint. ^^^

67 Short Bed Build (3/31) Back in Blue

Post by 1967AceStroker »

Well after some delays she's finally painted. Put in a late on the other night and got her done though. Here is how it sits at the moment. Gonna start putting it back together this coming week. It needs the full interior, windows, grille, bumpers, tail lights, and some miscellaneous put together. I hope to have it on the road soon. And thanks for looking.

The color is Kona Blue Metallic. It's off the 2011+ Mustangs.

Nice work!!! I'm anxious to see it in the sunshine too. Are you going to lower it or do any suspension or brake mods? You sticking with the current wheel/tire setup or going with something else? Keep it up!
