Any installation tips?

(I'm replacing the crappy Mr. Gasket universal shifter that came with it so a lot of the leg work is already done, man that shifter was difficult to use!)

read the instructions seveal times. i find that is very helpful with any project that i do. i personally have no experience with the floor shifters. as i was able to get my hands on one of the rare p/s 3spd columns

Sounds like this may be becoming a discontinued item if its on national back-order....

The part is discontinued. Has been for a few months. Many websites that say they have it in stock, don't. I think my last hope is a random website I just ordered from, fingers crossed!

If I can't get this kit, is there another way to install the shifter or is there another shifter you would suggest?
