I see no reason why the airsoft pellets wouldn't work. They may wear a little more as the go around, but other than that, it's the same idea.

This is one of those "I heard" things. But some say they can get rusted together in a big lump. But, you know how the internet is with that stuff. They would probably be just fine.

I thought of bb's, but then I thought the same thing. There is moisture in the air that goes in the tire so it can definetly sweat inside with the right conditions. I could picture a big lump of green copper bb's.

As for tire installation, I would think as long as you spray some type of lube on the bead and it slips all the way against the rim lip it ought to be fine. I've had pretty good luck just using armor all or tire shine. I'm no expert though. :dk:

I use the actual tire soap/lube, but I think anything slippery would help the same way.

The idea I read was that really very few tires need balanced if they are mounted properly to start with, as in no weights at all. I actually have a few vehicles with no weights and are smooth, but to put that statement into perspective...Nascar balances their tires, top fuel cars balance their tires, F1 balance their tires. So, the need for no weights as long as the tire is mounted right does not hold much water with me. These cats are the absolute top of chain for car and tire stuff. Their win depends a lot on tires. So, I have my doubts that all of these guys just don't know how to mount a tire correctly or are using low grade tires and that some guy who works at snuckies tire shop knows better than they do.

 Shows what I know about tire installation. I didn't even know there was actual tire soap/lube.

I used to mount my own 31''+ offroad tires with two crowbars and a slege hammer in my garage. i always used 2 cups of plastic airsoft bbs for a 33'' tire, if i remember right.

Edit: heres a tire size/ how many bb's chart. http://innovativebalancing.com/BigTirechart.htm
