Just bought 72 ford f100 with 360, truck runs great.
Advice on rebuilding current carb, or getting new carb. Have 360 all original engine etc...Money no option.

Re: Carb question
If the carb looks good , and it functions reasonably well , I'd get a rebuild kit. That is if you want to stay with a stock setup. I did a complete rebuild on mine a couple of years ago and it now works great. Not that difficult and kinda therapeutic. Just follow the instructions to a "T" and don't deviate.

May your sails stay full, and your knots not slip. Unless a slip knot.

Re: Carb question
Well, if money is plentiful...rebuild what you have just for the experience and bank the savings for other stuff. Or, rebuild what you have and drop a new Holley 2300 2brl on it...keep the rebuild in reserve. Or, if you want to boost the power...replace the stock intake manifold and drop a Holley 4 brl on it. If money is tight, rebuild what you have.
