flatbed started

got to start on the Flatbed portion of my flatbed wrecker this weekend!
got the outside rails and the headache rack tacked in before I had to go to work today.
Lots of work left to do, but it feels good to actually see a bit of progress on the old truck!

Lookin good you should install some of the slide up in the bed ramps like the uhaul trucks, they'll prob come in handy.

hehe. I've already got some 9' ramps I'll use if I need to load something on this. but the wrecker boom will get in the way of putting anything big on the deck.

Boy, ya see what happens when I go out of town for a couple days? *sheesh*

Heep. I'm undecided between tongue and groove hardwood, or just using diamond plate. the DP is a lot more expensive, but I would prefer it.
I'm still working on the boom design, so that will have a play in the final decision, also.

hey mike, iv'e got some questions,

first what did you put between the frame and the channel iron and is that a little tool/storage box above the hitch reciever, also how did you secure the channel to the frame.
