Not the northeast that's for sure. 2 words. Road salt. It eats everything it gets onto. Bumps are rare. I see a few dents but those are becoming few and far between.

See them occasionally here in Atlanta. But, they are still rare and appealing enough to always bring looks and questions at the gas pump. Love it. I have a an older porsche and a bump and I think the bump gets just as many admiring looks as the Porsche. Can't even decide which is more fun to drive. Love my bump.

Sadly here in sw Iowa, they are few and far between. When I do find one, it has near fatal cancer. Dents are the same way. It seems we used them all up, abused them, then threw way too many away.

Here (NW PA) there are only 2 bumps that I know of, and in Columbus Ohio where I am moving, I have not yet seen one.... NOT ONE!
Anywhere in the rust belt is almost impossible to find a decent slick, bump, and tough to find a dent....

Re: Best Region for Bumps
Here in Montana, we have plenty of them. I think anywhere that is predominantly agricutural would be the same, unless that place is typical for rust. Fortunately, we are not. There must be 25-30 of them in our small town of 3,500 people. Then again, a third of those are in my yard!

I'm thinking we have a member or two in Columbus but then again I may be getting senile.71PA_Highboy wrote:Here (NW PA) there are only 2 bumps that I know of, and in Columbus Ohio where I am moving, I have not yet seen one.... NOT ONE!

Re: Best Region for Bumps
I have seven bumps that live within a two mile radius of me here in sacramento
If the definition of crazy is "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result " It would certainly explain why I keep buying these old Fords

Re: Best Region for Bumps
There are several near me. One just down the road about 1/2 miles. More dents though. They were used a lot by the farmers around here and can still be seen rusting behind the barns around here in NC. See a few on the road but not many. They have started salting the roads here if there is even a chance of anything white here so there will be less and less as the years go by

Re: Best Region for Bumps
Since moving to Bama I have seen aleast 12 runners within a 10 mile area and a few for sale. I assume they run as well. Some junkers in lots and 3-4 big bumps. I met a fella with a nice swb hi boy. It used to be regular 2wd with a i6. Now after 30 some years it has a 428 and 4wd under the chassis. Tons of work put into it. I will have to get pics.
