Ah yes...launching pull tab rings with the tab itself, those were the days. Lots easier that thumb spinning a twist-off beverage cap across the room, and less chance of putting someone's eye out, too.

I remember when the notches started disappearing on the pull tabs too, probably because they did still put a few eyes out.

Yup, you're dating yourself...last time I saw a pop-top ring I was cruising the sidewalk at the beach, glare from the pop-top ring dangling from a stunning pair of hooters blinded me..."blew out my flip-flop, stepped on a pop top...cut my heel, had to cruise on back home"...and make good use of the blender...Jimmy had it all figured out.
