Very nice Mike ! Some of these are photos that I haven't seen before, you've been holding out on me :nono: I'll bet you can't wait for the snow to go, sounds like you've had a mild winter though. I don't drive mine much in the winter either, just mainly to keep it out of the rain not the salt.I just applied for collector status plates for mine, have been eligible but I just finally got around to it. It'll drop my ins. down to about 120/per year. Thanks for posting and enjoy!!!

That slide show is amazing... I especially like the fuel door. Where did you get the tank if you don't mind me asking

Thanks, The tank is a '71 Mustang 22 gal. tank purchased from Kentucky Mustangs. Buying from them, the cost was two thirds of the cost here in Canada, even though the tank was made in Canada. Mike

Thanks guys. Now comes the problem of "Where do I put them" as I have more projects to consider. The third truck in my garage is a '77 Dent shortbox that is looking for a CV front end, and full re-assembly of body. It once was a nice show truck until thieves stole it and did a lot of damage cutting parts off. We purchased salvage from owner and picked up a southern air cab in great shape, and along with the rust free chassis and box, will make a nice unit. Hopefully this project will not take as long as the '71. The other project waiting in the wings is a 66 F100 Shortbox that was started many years ago, and then put into storage due to closure of shop and loss of working space. I know it's not a bump, but here's how it sits as of today.

This truck has a much modified frame with Chrysler cross torsion bar front suspension grafted up into the frame. The top has been chopped 2", and roof height is 5'6". This need wiring, paint and upholstery to be complete. Mike.

Great looking truck!

I was wondering how did you get your trim on your door panels to look like that?

Also, could you tell us a little more about the filler panel for the bed and bumper?

Thanks

P.s I have a 71 I'm restoring as well so I'm really into your truck!

Hi Cole, The door panel trim is a stock Ford item that came on these trucks. This particular set was on a '69 F250 Custom, and was probably an option or part of an option package. After I made my rear bumper brackets and mounted the bumper, there was this big gaping hole that was showing all bumper brackets. I had some .080 soft aluminum sheeting that I used to make the filler panels. The panel was made in two pieces and having a 90 degree bend downward and against the box. The outer shape was taken from inside the rear bumper. The whole panel is held by two quarter inch truss head bolts attached to the bumper brackets. It really finishes off the back end quite nicely. Thanks, Mike

thanks for the quick reply mike.

I have a set of the door panel trim, but was wondering how you got it to clean up like that? The black paint on mine is flaking in a few spots.

I cleaned, sanded, primed and painted with a good grade of paint in spray cans. Mike

Your trucks look great man. Do you mind providing some info on the hydroboost setup you are running. You say its GM, but what year/model vehicle did it come from? Also, did you use the proportioning valve from the same vehicle?

Thanks!
