YOM plates in Georgia?

Anyone know if YOM plates can be used in GA? if so, how do I register them? Thanks.

What is yom plates?? I dont think TEXAS has yom plates?? :hmm:

I believe he means "year of manufacture" or something along those lines.

Go herehttp://motor.etax.dor.ga.gov/tagoffices ... ffice.aspx , select your county, and call the number listed and ask them.

YOM does mean "year of manufacture" and it involves allowing you to use original vintage plates for current registration. I want to buy 1968 Georgia vintage plate for my '68 bump but want to find out if we can do that.

You can run the YOM plate. You must purchase a new plate and keep it inside the vehicle though IIRC

I was thinking about doing this to my truck, in AZ you can use whatever plates you want. As long as the Motor Vehicle Dept still recognizes it as a good plate.

Yeah mo, and ok do it to they just have to make sure that if it sat unregistered for too long that the number didn't get recycled for motor cycle tags.
